Since we launched last year, HooYu Investigate has been working with some of the biggest UK gaming operators to enable them to conduct Enhanced Due Diligence, investigating source of funds and prevent collusion and fraud.
HooYu Investigate is a unique data visualisation platform that comes preloaded with data including the electoral roll, business data, addresses, CCJ’s insolvency data and much more. It shows in a clear way the subject of a search at the centre of a graph displaying all known connections to the subject such as home addresses, previous and current co-habitants, property ownership, and business shareholdings and directorships. An investigator can traverse the graph in any direction of interest bringing in as many degrees of separation as desired.
Early adopters of HooYu Investigate include Ladbrokes Coral and HooYu Investigate is now enabling compliance, social responsibility and fraud teams to save money and time, being on average 10x faster than traditional investigation tools. Users are also able to dig deeper into the data and discover hidden connections or variations of data that would normally be impossible to detect by providing and presenting all relevant information in a single, easy-to-navigate graph.
Dominic Blackburn, HooYu Investigate Product Director commented: “HooYu Investigate helps operators to discover Non-Obvious Relationship Awareness (NORA) information about customers at a click, helping with investigations into source of funds, problem gambling, collusion, multiple accounts and fraud rings. Our clients such as Ladbrokes Coral now have a unique and intuitive way to visualise their customers, meaning that investigators are now able to really get inside the information, and can discover and learn much more than was previously possible.”
HooYu Investigate is one of two new companies that have recently been launched by the same team behind 192.com and market leading KYC provider, 192business that was previously sold to Experian in 2012. The team also last year launched HooYu, a unique customer on-boarding platform that enables operators to check customer age and identity using a blend of ID document validation, geo-location, database checks, PEPS & Sanctions screening, facial biometrics and identity scoring.
HooYu Investigate is suitable for any investigatory task such as fraud prevention, law enforcement, AML/KYC, due diligence, tracing and asset reunification.
HooYu, A’s approach is to blend and combine multiple identity technologies including social media and digital footprint analysis, identity document authentication, facial biometrics, database checks and PEPS and Sanctions watchlist checks to confirm identity.
HooYu cross-references and analyses data from a person’s digital footprint to confirm their real-world identity. HooYu also extracts and verifies data from ID documents at the same time as authenticating the ID document and conducting a biometric facial check comparing a selfie of the customer with the facial image on their ID document.
