We have added a new feature to HooYu Investigate so that users are now able to investigate Person of Significant Control (PSC) information within the graph.Knowing who is controlling an entity is an important part of enhanced due diligence processes and helps investigators to shine a light into obfuscated company structures and uncover “shadow directors”.A Person of Significant Control (PSC) is defined as: “Someone that holds more than 25% of shares or voting rights in a company, has the right to appoint or remove the majority of the board of directors or otherwise exercises significant influence or control.”Within HooYu investigate a PSC is displayed as a person or a business, you are able to explore and discover if they are a current PSC or a previous PSC and we also provide in-depth information about each PSC including:
- Person/Company Name
- Start and End Date
- Control Types which are defined as Person, Corporate, Legal, LLP or a Trust
Nature of Control indicators include:
- Ownership of Shares % and Type
- Voting Rights % and Type

For example, if you want to investigate the company structure of News Corp UK & Ireland Limited, you will discover that it is the current PSC for The Sun Limited, Times Media Limited ect.
